Charney Hall Notes 1930-33

December 2021 : John Cranna has sent this message. He hopes to provide more scans from his collection shortly. Thank you John.

Have just found part of the '30-'33 Notes that I scanned about the death of the founder George Podmore with one main and two other obituaries.  Interestingly in the 50's Notes I have there is a section celebrating the 100th anniversary of Podmore birth’

Hello Everyone This is a really fantastic posting by Keith with the assistance of John Cranna and Stephen Halstead . Its an absolute mine of information and facts and the mention of Fathers Day Cricket Matches and the names of other Prep Schools that I had long forgotten all come back to me . Its also pretty impressive to see the Scholastic Achievements of these Old Boys and also the Masters . Wonderful ! Tilak

The 1960 Notes include me, but only as a pupil, no other achievements! Brilliant, though, to read the management side. Interesting to read of Mr. Latham going to Geelorg (sic). It should be Geelong Grammar, later attended by Prince (now King) Charles, and on becoming a pupil there in January 1964 I met up with him, but he wasn't at the school after 1964. Keep up the good work seeking out these Notes!
