This blog has been created so that people associated with the school in the past can freely archive their experiences, reminiscences and photographs. It is intended to be a record of life in a private school from its formation by George and Matilda Podmore in 1882 to its cessation and ultimate demolition in 1973. Pupils came from diverse family backgrounds, some fought in two World Wars, others achieved considerable success in their chosen careers, all shared a common education at Charney Hall
